Who is Otzi the Iceman?
Ötzi the Ice man is a very well naturally preserved mummy who lived in 3300 B.C. He is Europe’s oldest natural human mummy. He was approximately 1.65 meters tall, and weighed about 50kg. He was 45 when he died.
Where was Ötzi the Iceman Found?
On the 19th of September in 1991, Ötzi was found by two German tourists from Nuremberg, Helmut and Erika Simon on the border of Italy and Austria in the Öztal Alps. Ötzi was frozen in 3,200 meters above sea level. They tried for 4 days until they finally got him out. They broke his arm in the process.
